Legal 500 has published its Data Protection & Cybersecurity guide, with John Timmons serving as the contributing editor. Various White & Case lawyers have authored the country chapters for the UK, the US, Germany, and South Africa.

The aim of the Legal 500’s Data Protection & Cybersecurity guide is to provide its readers with a pragmatic overview of the data protection and cyber security laws and regulations across a variety of jurisdictions. Each chapter of this guide provides information about privacy, personally identifiable information (PII), service providers and individual rights.

The guide covers 23 jurisdictions, and is available online free of charge at Data Protection & Cybersecurity – Country Comparative Guides

John Timmons together with associates Joe Devine and Daniel Mair authored the UK country chapter.

The Germany country chapter was authored by White & Case partners Erasmus Hoffmann, Markus Langen and Dr. Sylvia Lorenz, as well as local partner Dr. Constantin Teetzmann and associates Alissa Arms, Swantje Behm and Friederike Kirch. Partner F. Paul Pittman together with associate Yuhan Wang composed the US country chapter, while partner Darryl Bernstein and local partner Deepa Ramjee in Johannesburg put together the South Africa country chapter.
