White & Case advises Yellow Door Energy on acquisition by Actis

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Yellow Door Energy on the sale of a majority stake to private equity firm Actis. 

"This landmark acquisition for Yellow Door Energy achieves a strategic objective for the company and one that will support its ambitious growth plans," said White & Case partner Ali Shaikley, who led the Firm's deal team. "It is also the latest of many exciting renewable energy M&A mandates on which we have advised in recent years as we continue to play a role in the UAE's transition towards a clean energy future." 

Yellow Door Energy is a Dubai-based is a sustainable energy partner for businesses, serving commercial and industrial customers in the Middle East and South Asia and a current operating portfolio of 106 megawatts , which it hopes to expand to 1 gigawatts in the future. 

Through its various funds, Actis has invested in more than 70 renewable energy projects to date, generating approximately 11 gigawatts of renewable energy globally.
