Tilman Kuhn Joins White & Case as a Partner in Düsseldorf
Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Antitrust/Competition practice with the addition of Tilman Kuhn as a new partner in Düsseldorf.
"We are delighted to have such a talented versatile lawyer as Tilman join us; he brings an impressive track record advising clients globally on a broad range of projects across all areas of antitrust law," said White & Case partner Mark Gidley, who leads the Firm's Global Antitrust/Competition Practice. "We continue to grow and expand our existing antitrust platform across EMEA and, in particular, in Germany, Europe's largest economy."
Kuhn's experience across various geographies includes merger control reviews, cartel matters, vertical conduct investigations, follow-on damages litigation, dominance matters, appellate litigation and advisory work, as well as foreign investment control work. Given his international practice, Kuhn will spend a significant amount of time in Brussels. He joins White & Case from Cleary Gottlieb's Cologne office, where he was counsel, and brings nearly 15 years of experience.
"Tilman has demonstrated the ability to master complex antitrust issues across key industries, from oil & gas to chemicals, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, automotive and tech," said White & Case partner Jost Kotthoff, Regional Section Head, EMEA Competition. "Adding Tilman to our German antitrust team with partners Justus Herrlinger and Axel Schulz allows us to expand our antitrust work in Germany for existing clients, as well as grow our client base in the region."
Partner Oliver Brettle, a member of White & Case's global Executive Committee, said: "Tilman's addition sends a strong signal to the market that we're committed to expanding our antitrust/competition capabilities in Germany. As we continue to compete as an elite global law firm across EMEA, Tilman further strengthens an EMEA team that has expanded in the last couple of years with the additions of top tier antitrust partners Yann Utzschneider in Paris, Marc Israel in London and Veronica Pinotti in Milan, complementing our leading EU practice in Brussels."
