White & Case Advises Battery Ventures on Acquisition of Laboratory Service Provider ifp

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised international private equity investor Battery Ventures (Battery) on the acquisition of ifp Institut für Produktqualität GmbH (ifp), a provider of analytical testing and analysis services of food, feed, water and pharmaceuticals. 

ifp will continue to be led by its managing directors, Dr. Wolfgang Weber and Carolin Poweleit. The parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the transaction.

Founded in 1983 and operating six offices worldwide, Battery supports companies in sectors including software and services, enterprise infrastructure, online marketplaces, healthcare IT and industrial technology in all phases, from seed and early stage to growth and buyout.

Berlin-based ifp was founded in 2004 and develops and produces diagnostics for industrial and commercial laboratories. Its patented products are marketed and distributed worldwide through selected partners.
