Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Catella AB on its agreement to sell 70 percent of the shares in Catella Fondförvaltning AB (Catella Fonder) to Athanase Industrial Partner.
As part of the transaction, Catella and Athanase will enter into a strategic partnership to further develop and enhance the client offering through Catella Fonder. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary approvals by the financial supervisory authorities in Sweden and Luxembourg.
The Catella Group is a Sweden-based specialist in property investments and fund management with operations in 15 countries. Catella Fonder offers a wide range of investment funds to private and institutional investors, with a focus on the Nordic region. It currently has SEK 20.2 billion in total assets under management.
Athanase Industrial Partner is an investment company with a strategy based on long term and sustainable value creation, and its investor base includes the Swedish AP funds.
