White & Case Advises CI Capital on Acquisition of Stake in Taaleem Management Services

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised CI Capital Holding for Financial Investments, Egypt's leading diversified financial services and investment group, on the indirect acquisition with a group of co-investors of a 60 percent interest in Taaleem Management Services Company SAE, a leading higher education platform in Egypt which controls and operates Nahda University in Beni Suef (NUB).

The stakeholding has been acquired through a newly established investment vehicle, EGY EDU Invest B.V.. CI Capital is a co-investor alongside a group of regional and local institutions and high net worth individuals, including StonePine Ace Fund, a JV between StonePine Capital Partners and Ace & Company, two leading private equity firms in the Middle East with collective assets under management in excess of US$900 million.

NUB is the largest private University in upper Egypt with more than 5,600 enrolled students. Its location in Beni Suef enables students from this highly populated and underserved region to gain access to high quality education.
