Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Kesko Corporation, a Finnish listed group with business operations in the grocery, building and technical trade and auto sectors, on its agreement to acquire the operations of Dahl in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, from Saint-Gobain, a French group listed on Euronext Paris.

"Advising Kesko on this landmark transaction and supporting them on the largest M&A deal in their history represents a significant step in Kesko's strategic growth strategy and is further testament to White & Case's expertise in advising clients on their most complex, cross-border transactions" said White & Case partner Mark Richardson, who led the Firm's deal team.

The transaction will significantly strengthen Kesko's technical trade division and, at a debt-free price of €1.2bn, marks the largest M&A transaction in the company's history.
