Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. on the sale of Kadans Science Partner (Kadans) to AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets.
"This is the third significant real estate disposal on which we have advised Oaktree in recent years," said White & Case partner Richard Jones, who led the Firm's deal team. "This transaction demonstrates our established strengths advising on both private equity and real estate deals."
Kadans was founded in the late 1990s, and focuses on the development and operation of industrial and office buildings, in combination with laboratories, cleanrooms, research facilities, climate-controlled spaces and pilot plants for R&D departments of knowledge institutions, education institutes and knowledge-intensive businesses. Kadans operates in innovative sectors such as Food, Life Sciences, Health, Living Environment, Biotechnology, Biobased and High-Tech Semicon. Kadans' portfolio spans the Netherlands, UK and Germany, with 65 percent of the portfolio having an ESG rating of Grade A.
