Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Selfridges on its strategic partnership with Fora, the premium co-working office space and private office provider, to redesign one of its 45,000 square foot properties situated opposite the iconic flagship store in London.

"This is Selfridges first foray into the flexible working space," said James Dodsworth, head of White & Case's Global Real Estate Industry Group. "We are seeing increasing interest in modern working environments and solutions across our global real estate practice and the evolution of the traditional office space environment shows no sign of slowing."

The redesigned building will house flexible workspace, with Fora occupying six storeys. It will also have up to four retail units, an event space over two floors and a Barista bar.  Selfridges expects increased footfall at its store as a result, as well as using the remodeled building more intensively and beyond usual office hours.

The White & Case team in London which advised on the transaction was led by real estate partner James Johnson, with support from counsel Paul Harrington and associate Lisa Seifman.
