Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Zynga Inc., a social game developer, on its agreement to acquire the privately held social game developer Gram Games for US$250 million with a three-year earnout

Zynga is responsible for developing well-known games, such as Words with Friends, FarmVille and CSR2 Racing. The acquisition brings to Zynga a talented team with a track record of developing top mobile games, such as Merge Dragons! and 1010!

Gram Games focuses on delivering high-quality, deeply engaging entertainment experiences in the hyper-casual and puzzle genres. Zynga expects to bring its studio operations and publishing organization expertise to Gram Games, with a focus on achieving greater levels of success and scale through improved user acquisition, advertising, network support and platform partner relations.

The San Francisco–based Zynga was founded in 2007 with a mission to connect the world through games, and has since attracted more than one billion players to its games across mobile and web platforms. Founded in 2012, Gram Games has 77 employees and develops mobile games from its offices in Istanbul and London.

The White & Case team that advised on the transaction was led by partners Bijal Vakil in Silicon Valley, Gavin Weir in London and Asli Basgoz in Istanbul.
