Global law firm White & Case LLP announced today that Dov Gottlieb will join the Firm as a partner in its New York office.
"As the growth of our public company client base continues to accelerate, it is a strategic priority to expand our world class expertise for these clients. Dov is a talented lawyer with a unique specialization in this area," says Colin Diamond, a partner in White & Case's Global Capital Markets Practice. "Our public company clients are looking to engage with practitioners that understand the complex environment in which they operate. Dov will work closely with both our Global M&A and Capital Markets Practices to meet those needs."
Gottlieb is very experienced in advising public companies with their day-to-day regulatory requirements and challenges, including compliance with US securities laws and listing requirements of the major US exchanges. He also regularly advises management, boards of directors and board committees on a wide range of matters, including SEC and stock exchange reporting and disclosure requirements, board and executive compensation, corporate governance, shareholder activism, the impact of proxy advisory services, and responses to formal and informal SEC inquiries.
Gottlieb, formerly with Simpson Thacher in New York, was a member of its Public Company Advisory Practice, where he advised public companies on compliance issues and regularly advised portfolio companies of private equity clients, including in connection with their initial public offerings.
"Dov has significant experience in being part of a dedicated public company advisory practice," says Michelle Rutta, a partner in White & Case's Global M&A Practice. "His addition reinforces the Firm's commitment to focusing on the unique needs and challenges of our public company clients and to further expand the Firm's expertise in this important area."
