Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Bonatrans Group a.s. on its acquisition of Gutehoffnungshütte Radsatz GmbH (GHH).
The transaction remains subject to the approval of the supervisory authorities and is expected to close at the end of the year. The parties agreed not to disclose the terms of the transaction.
Bonatrans has its registered office in Bohumin in the Czech Republic and is one of the leading manufacturers of rail wheelsets, supplying most of the railway operators in Europe, as well as leading rolling stock manufacturers worldwide. It was founded more than 50 years ago and generated €220 million in revenue during 2012.
GHH is also a leading supplier of technologically advanced rail wheelsets but, where Bonatrans' products are used more for freight rail, GHH is the leader in passenger rail.
Bonatrans was advised by an international team of lawyers from the White & Case offices in the Czech Republic, Germany, France and Belgium.
