White & Case Advises Crédit Mutuel Arkéa on Exclusive Negotiations to Acquire Keytrade Bank
Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised cooperative French banking group Crédit Mutuel Arkéa on its exclusive negotiations to acquire Keytrade Bank.
Crédit Mutuel Arkéa and Belgian bank Crélan signed an agreement on December 7, 2015 to enter into exclusive negotiations for Crédit Mutuel Arkéa to acquire Keytrade Bank.
Crédit Mutuel Arkéa has developed significant expertise in online banking services. Twenty years after its first online initiatives, the acquisition of Keytrade Bank – the leader in online trading in Belgium for 15 years that offers a wide range of financial products and services – will allow it to reinforce its presence in Belgian online banking services, while offering Keytrade Bank important possibilities for growth.
"After having successfully advised Bank Degroof on its merger with Petercam during the first half of the year, the Belgian transactional team has again demonstrated its capabilities in M&A transactions in the banking sector," said Brussels-based White & Case partner Thierry Bosly, who led the Firm's deal team.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Thierry Bosly and local partners Muriel Alhadeff and Nathalie Colin, with support from associates Thomas Glauden, Marie Georgy, Laurent Lantonnois van Rode, Aurélie Cautaerts, Alexander Hublet, Aurélie Terlinden, Roxane de Giey and Morgane van Ermengem.
