White & Case Advises GSO Capital Partners on £665 Million Sale of Miller Homes to Bridgepoint

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised GSO Capital Partners LP on the £665 million sale of Miller Homes, one of the UK's largest housebuilders, to Bridgepoint.

"Having had the privilege of representing GSO on its original investment in Miller Homes in 2012," said London-based partner Gavin Weir, who led the Firm's deal team, "we are delighted to represent GSO on the successful exit, as well as having advised on various matters relating to Miller throughout the life of GSO's investment. It was a great team effort."

"Assisting GSO on this exit is a significant milestone in our relationship with them, and a rewarding moment for all involved," said London-based partner Gareth Eagles. "We have been fortunate enough to advise GSO on a range of matters over the last five years and are proud that they chose to work with us on one of their most significant transactions. It is also great to see another exciting chapter begin in the story of this famous homes business."

Miller Homes was established in 1934 and is the largest privately-owned housebuilder in the UK. The company focuses on sustainable developments on the edge of urban or suburban areas, typically within 45 minutes of the nearest largest town or city, and is recognised for providing outstanding levels of customer service. It completed 2,380 homes during 2016, and achieved a 13 percent revenue increase to £565 million and a 31 percent increase in operating profit to £103 million during the year to 31 December 2016.

The White & Case team in London which advised on the transaction was led by partner Gavin Weir and included partners Gareth Eagles, Marcus Booth, Nicholas Greenacre, Philip Trillmich and Emma Foster, with associates James Pullen, Marcus Collins, Joanne Abbott and Chris Beardmore.
