White & Case Advises Le Pain Quotidien on Its Corporate Reorganization

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised PQ Licensing SA, the holding company of Le Pain Quotidien, on a corporate reorganization leading Cobepa to acquire 30 percent of its share capital.

Le Pain Quotidien is a Belgian bakery-restaurant group founded in Brussels in 1990 that currently operates more than 240 locations worldwide. The transaction closed in Brussels on April 26, 2016.

"This deal illustrates once again how the relationship we build with our clients allows us to advise them in the long term, taking into account all relevant aspects of their business and projects, while respecting their specific nature and values," said Brussels-based Partner Thierry Bosly, who led the Firm's deal team.

PQ Licensing SA is exclusively owned by a small number of shareholders who are now joined by Cobepa SA, an independent, privately-held investment company which acquired 30 percent of its shares.

The White & Case team in Brussels which advised on the transaction was led by partner Thierry Bosly, with support from local partners Muriel Alhadeff and Hadrien Servais and associates Laurent Lantonnois, Thomas Glauden, Marie Georgy, Laurent Vercauteren and Aurélie Cautaerts.
