Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Sanoh Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of the Japanese automotive supplier Sanoh Industrial Co. Ltd., on the acquisition of Geiger Automotive GmbH.
The seller is the Netherlands-based investment company HTP, which had previously acquired Geiger out of insolvency proceedings. It is intended that the transaction will be completed during the third quarter of 2013.
Sanoh Industrial is a supplier of automotive products and has more than 60 production facilities in 20 countries. The parent company has its registered office in Tokyo where its shares are also publicly listed. The acquisition of Geiger Automotive is the group’s first M&A transaction in Europe.
Geiger Automotive has its registered office in Murnau, Bavaria, and specializes in the production of plastic components for powertrain applications with a workforce of more than 700 people at four production facilities in Germany and one in the USA.
