White & Case Advises Summit Partners and DentalPro on Sale to BC Partners

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised global alternative investment firm Summit Partners on its sale of leading dental clinic DentalPro to international private equity firm BC Partners. In addition to Summit Partners, DentalPro's ownership included VAM Investments and other private investors.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

"We advised Summit on its 2015 acquisition of a majority stake in DentalPro, and subsequently advised DentalPro on its growth in the Italian market," said London-based White & Case partner Ian Bagshaw, who led the Firm's deal team. "Our cross-border and cross-practice deal team has now advised on an important transaction in the Italian healthcare sector which signals the start of the exciting next phase in DentalPro's development."

Founded in 1984, Summit Partners is a global alternative investment firm focused on growth equity, fixed income and public equity opportunities. Its investments include more than 440 companies in the healthcare, life sciences, technology and other growth industries.

Founded in 2010 in Milan, DentalPro is the market leader in the Italian dental clinic market, offering high quality dental care through 112 full service clinics across 40 Italian provinces. It has opened more than 50 new clinics since 2012, completing two acquisitions during 2016 that added more than 40 clinics.
