Global law firm White & Case LLP has boosted its corporate practice in Finland with the addition in Helsinki of new counsel Kaarina Ståhlberg. She joins the firm from Nokia Corporation, where she acted as assistant general counsel responsible for corporate, securities market, corporate governance and compliance related legal matters and also as the secretary to the company’s board and its committees and its group executive team.
"Kaarina's arrival aligns with the strategic priority of strengthening our global corporate, regulatory and M&A practices," said Petri Haussila, the head of White & Case's Helsinki office. "She is a highly experienced lawyer with an exceptional background both at Nokia and in private practice and, as we see more and more work crossing jurisdictions, Kaarina’s experience in cross-border legal and compliance issues will be invaluable to our clients."
Kaarina brings to White & Case her expertise in advising listed companies on complex corporate governance issues as well as on general corporate, securities regulatory and compliance matters. At White & Case, she will advise clients on all aspects of their corporate transactions and ongoing compliance and regulatory issues.
Kaarina holds Master of Law degrees from the University of Helsinki and Columbia University (New York).
