For the seventeenth consecutive year, in a surge of solidarity to students keen on completing their training by advanced studies abroad, White & Case organizes its "Annual Business Law Scholarship". The aim of the White & Case Scholarship is to award the three winners a € 30 000 grant divided between them, enabling them to continue their studies at the foreign university of their choice. Through this Scholarship, White & Case hopes to favor excellence and enhance solidarity, an important value for White & Case.
Last year, the event rewarded Coralie Chaufour, Sébastien Ribac, and Edith Aupetit, who were able to continue their law studies at prestigious schools such as Harvard Law School, King's College, and Columbia University.
Registration began on January 3rd and ends on April 15th 2011 for candidates who at least are in the process of obtaining a Law Master's Degree or a double degree at a French University. This year, the terms of participation related to studies are more flexible to enlarge the number of candidates eligible for such a grant in the advancement of their prospective studies (a postgraduate diploma was previously required).
Overall the participants, eight candidates will be pre-selected and invited to meet the eight members of the Jury, in order to present their candidacy, on May 31st 2011. That same day, in the White & Case's office, the deliberation and the prize-giving ceremony cocktail will be held, in order to reward the three winners of this seventeenth edition of the "Business Law Scholarship 2011".
