First participating team from Bhutan, sponsored by White & Case
623 teams registered from 89 jurisdictions
Record number of qualifying competitions (regional and national rounds)—65
First qualifying competitions in Iran, Jamaica and Estonia

Jessup is the world's largest moot court competition. More than 2,000 law students participate each year, from nearly 90 countries. Students are required to present oral and written arguments on a hypothetical international law case to a simulated International Court of Justice. Most teams will compete first in their relevant national or regional competition to earn the right to advance to the 2014 White & Case International Rounds, which will be held April 6 through April 12 in Washington, DC. The winning team will take home the White & Case Jessup Cup.
