
Marwan Azzi, Luke Laumann, Seth Kerschner and Tamer Nagy have been named among The M&A Advisor's 2018 "Emerging Leaders" winners, which recognizes the achievements of young professionals who have made a notable contribution to the M&A industry and community.
The 2018 winners were chosen for their accomplishments and selected by an independent judging committee of M&A professionals. The awards were presented to them at The M&A Advisor's 9th Annual Emerging Leaders Recognition Awards Gala in New York on September 14, 2018.
Marwan Azzi is a partner based in New York in White & Case's Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group, focusing on domestic and cross-border transactions with an emphasis in emerging markets, including Latin America. He represents some of White & Case's key US and international corporate clients and investment funds in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures and strategic alliances, with a particular emphasis on energy and infrastructure M&A and private equity. Marwan was also named a "Rising Star" for Private Equity in the United States by Euromoney's Expert Guides in 2018.
Luke E. Laumann is a partner, based in New York in White & Case's Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Luke has extensive experience representing domestic and international buyers and sellers in private and public domestic, cross-border and global mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private investments in a broad range of industries. Luke was also named a "Rising Star" for Private Equity in the United States, Euromoney's Expert Guides in 2018.
Seth Kerschner, counsel in the New York office of White & Case, practices environmental law and advises domestic and international buyers, sellers and developers on environmental matters in the context of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He represents industrial, commercial, financial, individual, government and nonprofit clients on a variety of environmental matters, including helping them navigate environmental risks in the context of business transactions and achieve compliance with environmental laws. Seth has also been recognized by Law360 and Chambers USA as a leading environmental practitioner.
Tamer Nagy, a senior associate in White & Case's Washington DC office, guides clients through complex multijurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, counseling them on the antitrust implications of their transactions and navigating the regulatory proceedings before competition agencies around the world. In addition, Tamer has assisted in the structuring and formation of private equity and investment funds targeting emerging markets, including Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Tamer's practice also includes international disputes and investigations.
