Law360 has named Morton Pierce a "Mergers and Acquisitions MVP of the Year" for 2015. For each of the practice areas Law360 covers, the magazine selects only five attorneys for the annual MVP distinction.
According to Law360, Pierce was selected for "extraordinary wins" such as representing Zimmer Holdings Inc. in its US$13.35 billion acquisition of Biomet Inc., Global Infrastructure Partners in its US$2.7 billion joint venture with Hess Corp., and Omnicare, Inc. in its US$12.7 billion merger with CVS Pharmacy, Inc.
In summing up his White & Case career in a profile announcing his selection, the magazine praised Pierce's versatility: "While media and entertainment and healthcare deals feature prominently in his recent portfolio, his work has also involved transactions across a broad range of other industries, including telecommunications and financial services, both domestically and cross-border."
Pierce has more than 35 years of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and related deals, and has been involved in numerous high-profile deals involving some of the world's best-known companies. The M&A Advisor recently named Pierce "M&A Legal Advisor of the Year, Outside Counsel" for 2015.
