White & Case partner Marcus Booth was named a Rising Star in M&A by Legal Week, a weekly British magazine for business lawyers. The Rising Stars are the new generation of M&A partners making their mark in the wake of the financial crisis, as selected by Legal Week.
Booth, a partner in the Firm's London private equity group, supports private equity, financial sponsor and corporate clients with all forms of mergers and acquisitions, alternative capital transactions, portfolio assistance and restructuring advice. His practice is international in scope, and he is accustomed to working with multi-disciplinary teams of lawyers from the Firm's offices across the globe.
In its profile of Booth, Legal Week highlighted his work on deals for York Capital and GSO Capital Partners. Asked for a "defining moment," Booth said "I've just supported [fellow partner] Ian Bagshaw on the acquisition by CVC Capital Partners of a controlling stake in pharmaceutical company Alvogen."
