White & Case Earns Tenth Consecutive Perfect Score for Commitment to LGBTQ Workplace Equality

Every fall for a full decade now, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) has acknowledged White & Case's outstanding commitment to workplace equality with a 100 percent rating in its annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The perfect rating again certifies White & Case's place on the short list of "Best Places to Work" for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) employees.

The HRC determines each CEI rating by evaluating the organization against a detailed criteria matrix that includes the prohibition of discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression for all operations; contractor/vendor non-discrimination standards that include sexual orientation and gender identity; the availability of partner health/medical insurance and transgender-inclusive health insurance; and other criteria.

The CEI rating continues an extraordinary year of recognition for the White & Case Diversity Initiative. In 2017, White & Case was named the "Best Large US Firm for Minority Lawyers" for the second year by Law360, was ranked first in The American Lawyer magazine's "Diversity Scorecard 2017" for the fourth straight year, won the "Law Firm Diversity Award" from the Asian American Bar Association of New York, and was ranked Number 1 in the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's "Do Good, Do Well" list.
