In a ceremony conducted by webinar on September 22, International Tax Review (ITR) honored global law firm White & Case LLP twice in its 15th annual ITR Americas Tax Awards. The awards recognize the leading tax and transfer pricing firms in North and South America, as well as leading firms in six US metropolitan areas.

White & Case received the following awards:

  • Partner Kim Marie Boylan (Washington, DC) was named "North America Tax Litigation and Disputes Practice Leader of the Year." Head of White & Case's Global Tax Practice, Boylan is a highly respected tax attorney and renowned tax litigator.
  • A transaction on which White & Case advised, "Newmont acquisition of Goldcorp," was named among the "Impact Deals" of the year. In the winning transaction, White & Case advised Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE: NEM), a gold and copper producer based in the United States with operations worldwide, in its US$10 billion acquisition of Goldcorp Inc. (NYSE: GG, TSX: G), a Canadian senior gold producer.

"Being honored yet again by ITR demonstrates the Tax team's unparalleled ability to win success for our clients in a wide and ever-growing range of transaction types," said Boylan. "I'm grateful to ITR for the personal recognition, and more grateful to our Tax clients for their trust and partnership."
