White & Case partner Michael Immordino was last night named "Banking and Finance Lawyer of the Year" by Italian publication, TopLegal. Immordino was also nominated for "Lawyer of the Year" as well as "Capital Markets Lawyer of the Year."
The awards, given annually and in front of an audience of 750 last night, were judged by a panel of 27 Italian business leaders. The jury prize awarded to Michael Immordino was given in recognition of the work he's done for major clients including Atlantia, Autogrill, Barilla, Ferragamo, Intesa Sanpaolo, Mediobanca and Piaggio & Co SpA.
Earlier this year White & Case announced the appointments of partners Michael Immordino (Milan/London), Nicholas Lasagna and Ferigo Foscari in Milan and Ian Clark in London strengthening the Firm's broad capital markets and M&A offering across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. To support this growth, in August White & Case opened an office in Milan focussing on capital markets, M&A and bank finance. The Firm has over 60 Italian speakers and a team of 20 lawyers involved in its Italian practice.
