White & Case was ranked among the top ten most innovative internationally headquartered law firms in the Asia – Pacific region by the Financial Times in its FT Asia – Pacific Innovative Lawyers 2014 special report, its inaugural report in the region.
In addition, three White & Case matters were awarded for their innovation, two in the finance and capital markets category and one in the international strategy category.
In the finance and capital markets category, the Firm was "Highly Commended" for:
Advising the Asian Development Bank on creating a hybrid finance structure for a clean water project in China, helping to bring new private investments into China public-private partnerships; and
Helping to facilitate the first ever Asian-asset backed financing to utilize debt raised on the US term loan B (TLB) market as part of refinancing of the leveraged buyout of Singapore-headquartered hard disk components manufacturer MMI International.
The Firm was also "Highly Commended" in the international strategy category for combining its China and Africa capabilities in projects, sovereign debt and the mining sector to capture outbound Chinese work.
