White & Case advises A.P. Møller on acquisition of solar, wind and battery energy projects in South Africa

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised A.P. Møller Capital (APMC), a fund management company focused on value-add infrastructure investments, on the acquisition of a platform of solar, wind and battery energy projects in South Africa from Mainstream Renewable Power (Mainstream).

Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa is a developer, constructor and operator of utility-scale renewable energy projects and also operates as an independent power producer. Established in 2009, the platform comprises 148 MW of operating and under-construction assets, 351 MW of shovel-ready projects and an 11.6 GW development pipeline across wind, solar and energy storage technologies.

The proposed transaction, which is currently subject to regulatory approvals and other third-party consents, will complement A.P. Møller Capital's existing investments across Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
