White & Case Advises Softbank Vision Fund II on Investment in Trendyol

Global law firm White & Case LLP and GKC Partners have advised Softbank Vision Fund II on its investment as lead investor in the Series D financing of e-commerce platform Trendyol.

"This is once again an exciting investment by Softbank in a company at the forefront of an industry accelerated by COVID-19," said White & Case partner Dan Turgel, who co-led the Firm's deal team. "Our role advising on this deal follows our work with Softbank on a number of high profile investments and highlights White & Case's experience in delivering transactions in the technology sector."

Founded in 2010, Trendyol is the leading e-commerce platform in Turkey serving over 19 million customers. 

White & Case partner Emre Ozsar, who co-led the Firm's deal team, said: "This investment was particularly important to us as we were able to demonstrate our on-the-ground capabilities. It also highlights the continuous interest of reputable foreign investors in the Turkish e-commerce and technology sector, in which White & Case plays a leading role."
