Global legal ranking service Chambers and Partners has ranked Global law firm White & Case LLP among the select group of “Band 1” law firms for Projects: Power & Renewables: Transactional in USA–Nationwide for 2020. Band 1 is the highest ranking achievable, and is based on Chambers’ assessment of a firm’s technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and other factors.

“As the market has seen more funds investing in projects and investors trading in and out of these projects, White & Case has been at the forefront of advising on these financing transactions,” said White & Case Partner Marius Griskonis (New York). “Our team has been involved in some of the most high-profile buyouts and acquisition transactions in history and many of the most significant recent deals in the US renewables power market. I am proud of the team’s impressive accomplishments, helping earn our second consecutive Band 1 ranking in this category.”

In its ranking profile of White & Case’s Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance (EIPAF) Practice, Chambers reported, “One client noted to Chambers ‘White & Case has a strong energy project finance and M&A practice with significant experience, which makes it one of the go-to law firms for complicated cross-border transactions.’ Sources also praised the team's ‘flawless, excellent work.’”
