Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Cambridge Health Group (CHG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Amanat Holdings PJSC, on its acquisition of 100 percent of Cornerstone Healthcare Holdings Limited, a leading UK provider of specialist high-acuity care.
White & Case partner Marcus Booth, who led the Firm's deal team, said: "This acquisition is a key moment in Amanat's international growth strategy and in the continued expansion of Cambridge Health Group's specialist care platform. We congratulate the Amanat team on this significant achievement."
CHG is the leading provider of post-acute, long-term and rehabilitative care in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Amanat Holdings is a Dubai Financial Market-listed operator and investment platform focused on healthcare and education businesses across the Middle East and North Africa.
John Ireland, Chief Executive Officer of Amanat, said: "This acquisition is an important step in the growth of our specialist healthcare business, Cambridge Health Group. White & Case's clear, commercial advice and proactive approach were instrumental in concluding a successful transaction under an accelerated timeframe and we look forward to working with the team in the future."
Cornerstone provides specialist care services in the UK for individuals with complex healthcare needs, including neurorehabilitation, acquired brain injury, severe mental illness and complex dementia.
The acquisition broadens CHG's specialist care capabilities, establishes an operating presence in the UK and takes CHG's total capacity beyond 1,000 beds, supporting the continued growth of its specialist care platform across complementary markets. The acquisition marks Amanat's first investment outside the Middle East, representing an important step in Amanat's strategy to diversify and expand its healthcare platform internationally.
