Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Mutares SE & Co. KGaA on its acquisition of AmeriTerpenes LLC, Symrise AG's terpene ingredients business.
AmeriTerpenes is a US-based producer of renewable terpene ingredients, serving customers across fragrance, flavor and industrial applications from manufacturing sites in Jacksonville, Florida and Colonels Island, Georgia.
The acquisition represents a new platform investment for Mutares in its chemicals and materials segment and further strengthens the group's presence in the strategically important US market. Following closing, Symrise and AmeriTerpenes will continue their long-standing commercial relationship, with agreed supply arrangements intended to secure long-term access to renewable terpene-based raw materials and support future growth for both businesses.
