Global law firm White & Case LLP has further expanded its private equity capabilities in Asia-Pacific with the addition of Jianchong (Andre) Zhu as a partner in Beijing.
"Private equity in Asia-Pacific is growing rapidly and we're excited to continue strengthening our presence in the market," said White & Case partner Alex Zhang, who heads the Firm's offices in China. "Andre's arrival strengthens our private equity offering and ability to support our clients in China and across the Asia-Pacific region on all aspects of their transactions."
Zhu, who joins the Firm's Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, has extensive experience advising financial sponsors and strategic investors on cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions, including US going-private transactions and private equity transactions, as well as advising corporate clients and investment banks on various corporate matters. He joins the Firm from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and brings almost ten years of experience.
"Andre's private equity experience supports the growing needs of our financial sponsor clients, who are increasingly focusing on inbound and outbound M&A in Asia," said White & Case partner Chris Kelly, who leads the M&A practice in Asia-Pacific. "His familiarity with capital markets and funds provides additional strength to our private equity offering in China."
