Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Eranove on a Public-Private Partnership agreement to develop a 42MW hydroelectric dam in Kenié, Mali, for an estimated total amount of €110 million.
The agreement, signed on June 18, 2015 between Eranove and the Republic of Mali, comprises the financing, construction and operation of the dam for 30 years through Eranove's new subsidiary Kenié Energie Renouvelable, incorporated for this project. Construction is due to begin in 2016 and the operation of the hydroelectric dam is scheduled to start in 2020.
The White & Case team in Paris which advised on the transaction was led by partner Paule Biensan and counsel François-Guilhem Vaissier with support from associates Olivier Le Bars and Anna Seniuta.
