Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the senior lenders on the AUD$366 million limited recourse project financing of the Yandin Wind Farm in Western Australia, a partnership between Alinta Energy and RATCH-Australia.

"The financing of this project benefited from a debt package provided purely by international lenders, further demonstrating the appetite of international institutions to invest in the Australian Renewable Energy market," said White & Case partner Joel Rennie, who led the Firm's deal team. "The appeal of a long term and well-structured offtake contract with Alinta Energy underpinned a strong debt package."

Yandin Wind Farm is a 214 MW greenfield project located near Dandaragan in Western Australia which, upon completion, will be the largest wind farm in Western Australia and is expected to generate sufficient electricity to power approximately 200,000 Western Australian homes. The project is supported by a long-term 100% offtake with Alinta Energy and construction and maintenance contracts with Vestas.

The White & Case team in Australia that advised on the transaction was led by partner Joel Rennie with support from partners Adeline Pang and Michelle Keen, counsel Andrea Reeves and associates Isabella Jarrett, Alicia Jennison and Kirsten Sugden.
